Last 4th of July in Big Canoe, my husband I went to our favorite spot to watch the beautiful firework displays. The photo above was captured during that event. This spot is a secret. Well...at least it was a secret 6 years ago. Since then, word has gotten out and we now have about 30 people who gather to be away from the crowds at the Ball Field where hundreds come to party and wait for the spectacular colors to erupt in the sky.
In the morning, starting at 9:00am, there are activities for the children. They decorate their bikes and have a parade at the Wildcat Recreation Center followed by the parade of dogs decorated in all their 4th of July attire. Then an old fashion cookout of hot dogs and hamburgers!
The afternoon will see families out on the lake boating, fishing and swimming in the various pools throughout the community of Big Canoe. Evening time it is back to eating again!!!
Every day is a holiday in Big Canoe! Come and see for yourself! Give us a call and we will be happy to show off one of the BEST places to live in the world!
